Places and Spaces

The past month has been a busy one. An eclectic mix of a trip to Foxton Locks, 3 weddings, a drive around the New Forest, Date night in Portsmouth, a charity raffle and a visit from my parents and their gorgeous little pooch Boo.

The next few weeks will be spent making things for upcoming craft fairs and getting involved with the Southsea Sisters independent women's group. Exciting things are a comin'!

What have you got to look forward to over the next few weeks?

Annual Leave Love

It took 3 alarms this morning for me to wake from my coma like state... I then realised that after 9 lovely days off, I had to go back to work today.

So what did I get up to during that much needed time off I hear you cry...

I'd entered a few photographs so was really pleased to see them displayed!

Forgetful Lucy

At the beginning of May, I decided to take part in the Photo a Day challenge from Fatmumslim.
The idea is that you have to take a photo each day using the guidelines set by Chantelle.

The challenges are always fun to follow on Instagram and I have attempted one before but only managed a few days. So how did I get on? Well... not so good.

I started out well, but I'm just too forgetful or I would remember at silly times and think, meh I'll do it tomorrow.

Here are the 11 days I did manage...

Did you take part? How did you get on? Better than me I hope.

Hello Sunshine... It's been a while

As I mentioned in my previous post, the weather here in little old England has been crap with a capital C.

Rain, rain, wind, more wind, cold and more rain.

When lunch time came around yesterday, everything suddenly changed and the sun popped out to say hello. It stayed all afternoon and evening, so after work I drove home via the seafront and stopped to take in a quick dose of Vitamin D.

Unfortunately the weather has gone back to grey skies today... but hey, at least it isn't raining! (touch wood)

In other news, I'm going to attempt the Instagram photo a day challenge. Chantelle from Fat Mum Slim started this monthly challenge earlier in the year, I tried a few times but I kept forgetting...

You can read more about the challenge here . I'm starting from today (2nd May) as I accidentally forgot to take one yesterday for Peace. Good start hey?! You'll find me at @lucygooseyb

If you have Instagram, let me know if you're taking part too... I love looking at everyone's entries and their interpretations ... x

Busy Goosey Bee

The last few weeks have been busy with trips to see my lovely mum, running a stall at my first craft fair and work amongst other things, so blogging has taken the back seat for a while.

This weekend has been beautiful in most of the UK. A lovely little heatwave for the time of year. Windows open when driving, french doors open at home and going out with just a cardi. No coat, Amazing! Living on the south coast is great, in 2 minutes I can be at the beach or on the common. Today I took advantage of this so me and the dog went for a walk... Ozzy is a Cocker spaniel cross with err we don't know and belongs to Harry's mum.

We had a nice little adventure across the common, down the seafront and then we stopped for afternoon tea at the Castle cafe. I documented some of it on Instagram...You can follow me on there @lucygooseyb

As if butter wouldn't melt.

Yummy scone and a cuppa...

Ozzy wanted in on the scone action...

Hope you had a lovely weekend and it was sunny where you were!
